As the Coronavirus continues to spread in Japan and globally, Coloplast continues to monitor the situation closely and take necessary precautions to keep our employees, customers and partners safe.
Our priorities are clear.
Firstly, we will comply with and support whatever guidelines are put in place by local health care authorities. We monitor this on an ongoing basis, and we have many initiatives running to prevent and contain the spread of the virus.
Secondly, we will continue to serve our customers. Our customers rely on our help and support, so they can continue to manage their conditions. We continue to engage with our customers, and to manufacture and distribute our products. This is of paramount importance – our customers rely on us.
Some of the initiatives taken locally in Japan include severe restrictions on all travel, telework for nearly all employees (including our salesforce) and extraordinary safety measures in our warehouse to ensure ongoing operations. Preparations are also in place for our entire call center and back office staff to work remotely if need be.
Currently, the Coronavirus is not impacting our ability to supply our customers with products in Japan. All of our factories globally are operational (with additional safety measures) and we will continue to produce and deliver products in Japan. We encourage all customers to continue to order normal supply quantities to avoid hoarding.
